Klaus Dammann focused on the issue of the optimum riding surface more than 20 years ago. With the invention of the Risohorse® ebb and flow riding surface system, the Dammann company has taken a big step towards this goal.
Klaus Dammann is a qualified landscape gardener with years of experience in national and international gardening and landscaping. As a horse breeder and owner of a riding business, it made sense to apply his knowledge about soil properties to riding surfaces.
The landscape gardening industry has used the ebb and flow system for the consistent irrigation of plants for years. Why should this system with integrated watering and drainage control not also be practicable for a riding surface? The idea and goal of this ebb and flow system was to guarantee a consistent basic moisture level in the footing layer of the riding surface.
The first Risohorse® ebb and flow riding surface was therefore created at his own riding centre at the end of the 1990s.
After the launch of the innovative Risohorse® ebb and flow riding surface system on the German and international market, the cIndoornge of the goal of the optimum riding surface was never lost sight of. Dammann Reitplatz- und Sportplatzbau GmbH still actively continues to implement improvements and to innovate.
